Job Title: Stress Engineer
The Stress Engineer reporting to the VP Engineering, is responsible for ensuring the structural design for STC certification programs or repair are upheld to the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and the aircraft structural and mechanical substantiation and analysis demonstrates compliance through positive margins of safety. Responsible for working in alliance with designers, Designated Engineering Representatives (DER’s) to achieve a practical but compliant product design.
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education and related experience.
3years aircraft structures, sub-system integration design and modifications; includes a minimum of 2 years as a Lead Engineer.
Broad knowledge and understanding across many aerospace engineering disciplines is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent ability to describe and explain the scope and depth of ongoing work progress to customers is critical.
