Level of Responsibility:

* Leads a project team of 12 globally located structural analysis engineers to ensure timely and accurate completion of structural analysis and simulation support for the Interiors Business Unit and product line engineering teams
* The Stress & Analysis Engineering Management provides management review and control over all structural analysis and simulation engineering work as part of a major engineering programs and technology exploration across Interiors
* This managerial position integrates structural analysis and simulation engineering disciplines to better service the UTAS Interiors Business Unit
* Manage a globally located engineering team consisting of stress analyst and simulation disciplines in support of all Interiors product lines
* Responsible for establishing and flowing down annual performance objectives aligned with UTAS and Interiors performance and strategic objectives
* Effectively address all personnel actions including recruitment, performance reviews, salary planning employee relations, safety/health and coordination of training and development
* Manage resource allocation in alignment with Interiors and Site priorities
* Facilitate effective resource allocation to support Interiors development programs and technology initiatives through utilization of Engineering Capacity Planning (ECP) tool (eg work with internal customers to obtain data required to measure, monitor and effectively allocate supply vs demand)
* Ensures project deliverables are on schedule and under budget
* Continue driving progression on On-time delivery, team- based and inclusive culture
* Achieve quality, delivery, EH&S targets for the functional group as set by the business
* Continue progression to ensure the culture of compliance is prevalent through the entire team
* Support special projects and/or assignments as assigned by Interiors leadership
* Demonstrate focus on communication to achieve full two-way communication, transparency and an enhanced culture of teamwork
* Duties also include driving UPI maturity and continuous improvement into the local business processes while ensuring effective program execution and people management
* Prepares, monitors, and may be responsible for budget, staffing, and or business/operational results of a functional ream or project
* Directly manages individual contributors and may manage supervisors or group leaders

Qualification: Experience/Qualifications:

* Conducting stress analysis and/or simulation with Ansys/LS-Dyna or similar tool
* Any other system, software programs or analytical tools
* Excellent mechanical aptitude
* Basic understanding of structural certification requirements for commercial/military aerospace products.
* Familiarity with engineering tools and methods used to perform analysis and simulations.
* Experience leading multiple projects with cost, schedule and scope management responsibilities
* Experience estimating tasks resources required to complete projects
* Experience establishing and analyzing metrics which are used to continually improve processes
* Highly desired previous engineering management experience in aerospace industry
* Strong understanding of continuous improvement activities
* Good general computer skills, particularly with MS Office products and ability to learn new software and programs
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well with vendors and customers

·Mechanical or Aerospace/Aviation Engineering

·Three years of leadership experience
