Job Title: Structures Technician


About The Job: Structures Technicians needed for dynamic FAR 145 maintenance facility located near Chicago, we are a 50+ year old company. Experience preferred on Bombardier Q series, Embraer135/145 & 170/190, Beechcraft, Lear or Challenger aircraft.


Responsibilities: 

The Structures Technician is responsible for maintenance and repairs to keep aircraft working safely and efficiently.

  • Inspect, test, maintain, and service aircraft 
  • Determines airworthiness of aircraft and components, in accordance with established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Performs structural repair, inspects and identifies for prevention and repair
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record. 
  • Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids. 
  • Properly executing the duties assigned. 
  • Performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
  • Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility. 
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.


Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • FAA A&P valid certification preferred not required 
  • Previous experience 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen 
  • Must be willing to work any shift in a 7 day operation, including nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship 
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position 
  • A valid clear driver’s license
