Basic Purpose of Position:

The Supervisor, Event Planning is responsible for reviewing & ensuring scheduled tasks in Heavy Maintenance & those requiring extended downtime are planned in the most efficient way. Communicating upcoming requirements with internal & external customers so tasks can be completed within the allotted timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Review all upcoming tasks that shall require a timeframe that is greater than the parameters that an overnight hangar visit would provide.

*

Review upcoming parts requirements and communicate with Purchasing to ensure that the supply will meet the requirements.

*

Create a master plan for mini projects such as a component replacement campaign or a modification to a fleet type.

*

Create reports through TRAX or other software that is available to give visibility to future events and to provide information to various user groups of upcoming events and possible “walls” that may be approaching.

*

Review the weekend plan created by the event planners to ensure that all requirements are set in place to ensure success.

*

Review the planning master calendar to ensure that major events are well planned to ensure successful completion in a timely manner.

*

Report out on completion rates and establish metric to carry this out effectively.

*

Review with heavy planners any tasks or events that could cause issues due to supply or flow issues.

*

Carry out an in depth review of all service bulletins, fleet campaigns, engineering orders and any additional tasks that have been sanctioned by the fleet review board.

*

Liaise with various user groups (ISE, Engineering, Line and Heavy Maintenance, Purchasing) in reference to the review of Fleet Evaluation Committee (FEC) tasks.

*

Maintain a database of all FEC tasks and status.

*

Send out daily, weekly and monthly reports to give all groups visibility on upcoming requirements.

*

Run various scenarios to effectively plan component replacement based on available downtime and component supply.

*

Fill in for the Day of Ops supervisor when required & complete daily reports as required.

*

Assist various departments in obtaining information related to components, tasks, or other Planning related functions.

*

Review and authorize concession requests submitted by the various Planning groups.

*

Assist planners in understanding the technical details of tasks or component replacements.

*

Other related duties as assigned.

*

Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

*

Transport Canada approved AME course or equivalent military training that would allow for qualification of obtaining an AME license.

*

Strong technical and analytical background.

*

Proficient with TRAX, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

*

Experience with MS Access, Project and PowerPoint would be an asset.

*

Strong and concise communication skills.

*

Aircraft type endorsement or familiarity with the Jazz fleet.
