Supervise staff and provide leadership and technical support to maintain heavy maintenance schedules, as well as overseeing day to day maintenance, maintenance practices and personnel issues needed to produce safe and reliable Ground Support Equipment to meet flight schedules and maintain the highest preventative maintenance completion percentage while maintaining a high reliability factor.

  • Monitors maintenance activities to ensure performance levels are sufficient to provide the highest possible standards of quality and safety and reliability.
  • Determines work priorities on the shift.
  • Monitor the skillset and training level of the department and when necessary, take disciplinary action including coaching, temporary relief of duties and further disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • Supervises maintenance performed by Frontier maintenance personnel on company vehicles as well as any contract vehicles.
  • Provides timely and accurate information on equipment status.
  • Monitors all technicians’ attendance and insures attendance policies are followed.
  • Determines job standards, tests personnel productivity, safety habits and workmanship.
  • Assists in formulation of departmental policy.
  • Administers company and departmental budget and performance commitments.
  • Assists in creating departmental budget and performance commitments.
  • Meets agreed-upon budget and performance commitments.
  • Assures that all tools and equipment are maintained at a level of safety that meets the National Bureau of Standards requirements and/ or the manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Controls all parts inventory levels and helps assure best possible parts pricing.
  • Computer and administrative functions as assigned by manager
  • Identify possibilities for operational improvements and communicate them to management
  • Identify vender suppliers for potential savings
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
  • ASE Certified or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years in fleet maintenance environment
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Valid Colorado Drivers License Class B preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of company maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot problems both local and field remote
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to meet equipment repair and project deadlines
  • Ability to communicate in an effective, calm, and professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to lead and motivate maintenance personnel in a positive and professional manner.
  • General computer and administrative skills.
