Basic Purpose of Position:

Supervise the activities of the Inventory Control Specialists. Ensure the maintenance operation is supported with the optimum Inventory stock levels to coincide with fleet maintenance requirements and provide analysis of inventory to eliminate waste and prevent excess inventories.

Key Activities:

*

Analyze inventory transactions to determine stock levels, base allocation and system distribution.

*

Review and maintain inventory balancing and stock level setting processes to determine and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

*

Work with industry organizations and partners to ensure Jazz inventory processes are providing competitive advantages and minimizing inventory investment while meeting the operational demand requirements.

*

Complete monthly Inventory Metrics in a timely manner and develop and maintain new metrics that will aid in monitoring inventory, minimizing risk and measuring Inventory Control activity.

*

Utilize existing and develop new reports that provide required data intelligence for inventory management and related requirements of supported departments.

*

Analyze parts consumption and monitor changes to quickly adjust stock levels accordingly.

*

Assist the Inventory Control Manager in analyzing options related to inventory provisioning and disposal of excess inventory.

*

Review the Maintenance Management Information System (TRAX) identifying discrepancies and deficiencies in the inventory data.

*

Devise methods to ensure inventory data is kept clean and access to data adjustments is controlled.

*

Other related duties as assigned.

*

Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

*

A minimum of 5 years of Inventory related work experience.

*

Must have experience managing or supervising a staff.

*

Post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset.

*

Data analysis training obtained through Engineering, Mathematical or Business courses is an asset.

*

Experience working with inventory in support of vehicle/equipment maintenance (aviation maintenance preferred).

*

Strong interpersonal skills are required.

*

In depth knowledge of Inventory Principles.

*

Strong analytical skill required.

*

Lean or Six Sigma background an asset.

*

Strong organizational skills required.

*

PMAC accreditation is preferred.

*

Inventory management courses are considered an asset

*

Must have a high Level of proficiency in Excel, Idea, Access and other related database systems.
