Oversee daily scheduled maintenance for all HAL fleets and coordinate appropriate work assignments based on resource availability. Directly supervises Maintenance Planners.
Works Maintenance Planner’s shifts in relief or as required
Oversees A330 maintenance program and HA fleet planned maintenance events using OMS tool or equivalent and in coordination with Delta Mainenance Planning and MCC
Acts as primary point of contact with outsourced planning providers where applicable
Review daily workload and Out of Service reports
Review all calendared maintenance events
Coordinate all training events and visits for INFLIGHT & PILOT Training within the company for all fleets
Responsible for the in-house training of Maintenance Plannersand for the establishment of qualification standards
Coordinate all special maintenance projects (i.e. Landing Gear Program, AD Compliance items, MOD)
Oversees the forecasts and updates of the planned maintenance schedule for all aircraft daily
Review tracking documents to ensure routine maintenance is scheduled, accomplished, and updated in a timely manner.
Coordinates with various departments and vendors in the planning of contracted routine maintenance.
Processes and coordinates parts reservations and borrowed/shared business parts replacements with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Supply, and Maintenance.
Attend and coordinate all required meetings involving planned maintenance for all fleets
Will be on-call after hours as necessary
Mentors subordinates to achieve department and section goals and objectives
Manages Halogen PDP and PIP processes for staff and trains new hires on process.
Develop and distribute monthly reports that outline section / area effectiveness
Assist in preparation of department budget; monitor and oversee expenses
Accomplish additional task as assigned by the Planning Manager and Planning Director
High School diploma or equivalent is required
5 years commercial aviation maintenance planning experience, both short and long term, or equivalent, is required
Requires knowledge of the A330, 767, and 717 aircraft systems and ATA codes. Capable of using the aircraft IPC, AMM, etc, for Hawaiian fleet
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.
Must possess analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, work well with others with little guidance, make independent decisions and to effectively coordinate with internal and external personnel.
Must be able to chair and conduct planning meetings with line & dock personnel as well as outside vendors.
Must be proficient in using TRAX or equivalent.
2+ years airline maintenance planning supervisory experience desired
Project management experience
