Oversees the daily operation of Supply operation including shipping, receiving, inventory, and material movement and the supervision of all Stores personnel assigned to the operation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Supervise the daily operation of the Stockroom and other Warehouse areas

* Administer assignments/tasks to the Crew Chief in a fast-paced, team environment, establishing workload priorities to support operational needs

* Ensure material inspections and handling is in compliance with FAA directive and regulations and company guidelines

* Ensure Company parts and equipment are properly handled and accounted for and flow of materials is completed in a timely manner

* Observe all computer system transactions related to inventory movement and stock locations

* Enforce good housekeeping and safety practices

* Maintain an efficient and orderly workforce/operation

* Provide crew briefings to stock clerks to insure they are continuously informed on Company and department procedures and policy changes

* Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

* College Degree preferred with a business or aviation background: If no college degree, work experience in a stockroom/logistics will be considered

* Previous supervisory experience preferred

* Experience with AA policies and procedures preferred

* In-depth knowledge of warehousing operations

* Knowledge of all AA based computer systems preferred but not required

* Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner

* Ability to draw information from multiple sources and develop a single process that will satisfy each department s requirements

* Knowledge of aircraft parts preferred

* Knowledge of shipping limitations as outlined in the IATA and 49 CFR materials preferred

* Excellent team leadership and communications skills

* Ability to develop and motivate workforce including coaching and counseling employees, disciplinary action, preform investigations and attendance control

* Must be able to make decisions and assume responsibilities

* Excellent organizational skills, including project management techniques

* Positive attitude and excellent team player

* Must be willing to work days, evenings, midnights, weekends, and holidays

* Must be willing to work extended hours as the operation may require
