The Support Engineer EE Technical Designer (Early Career) will support the Special Operations Forces and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Avionics and Electrical team within Logistics Products & Services (LP&S) within Boeing Global Services. This position is located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing, collaborative team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills and will be encouraged to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes.

Job Responsibilities to include:

* Develop, maintain and release electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.

* Interpret and develop design requirements based on technical data.

* Select components, prepares design layouts, modifies existing designs and integrates system elements to satisfy customer and productivity requirements.

* Validate engineering system design and functionality.

* Ensure compliance with requirements, standards and applicable regulatory authority and maintains the integrity of the product.

* Coordinate activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

*

Experience collecting data from multiple sources to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.

*

Analytical experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amount of information with attention to detail.

*

Experience using a 3D modeling software package.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

*

Experience designing or developing automated test hardware

*

Experience with hardware/software integration

*

Strong ability in the use of Microsoft Office tools.

The preferred candidate will possess strong skills with drawing tools such as AutoCAD or UniGraphics

The candidate should be highly skilled and responsive in a demanding and fast-paced work environment

*

Strive to achieve a high level of quality in workmanship and tasks and able to discern the more critical and less critical tasks

Ability to manage task priorities and to manage time effectively

*

Problem solving that includes working with other staff to identify solutions to new situations

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are desired

Typical Education/Experience

AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
