Description The System Support Specialist will require working closely with Applications Manager, Project Managers, end users, and support & development team members to deliver business applications for various departments within Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation. It is critical to understand business processes and requirements that drive the analysis, design delivery of technical solutions. 

The position will be part of an application support team that provides expertise on strategic initiatives and mission critical applications. Assignments may include implementation, integration and support of a packaged application. Effectively applies communication, analytical, problem-solving skills to help identify, research, and resolve problems. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Automation of FTP tasks*
•Powershell scripting to automate manual processes*
•Supporting, maintaining and administering deployed solutions*
•Create and maintain documentation for supported solutions*
•Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing applications*
•Respond and resolve Helpdesk tickets created by users to fix problems or answer technical questions regarding systems* 
•Learn business processes to help support business solutions. *
•Ability to tailor communication for technical purposes and for user-friendly language* 
•Acts as a team member, in projects that involve small, medium and large changes to existing systems or the implementation of new systems/processes*
•Help ensure security of all applications*
•Carry out other IT related duties which may be assigned from time to time*
•Understanding of Air Wisconsin’s culture and methodologies*
•Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential*
•Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.*
•Adherence to company policies and procedures.*

Requirements Essential Requirements:

•Associate degree or current enrollment in a technology program preferred
•One or more years of system/analytical experience is preferred
•Proof of US citizenship or permanent work authorization
•Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills is essential
•Understanding of IT infrastructures such as MS Windows OS (server and client), LAN, WAN, security, file and print servers, web servers, application servers, database servers, storage servers, etc.
•Intermediate level scripting for Windows OS – such as PowerShell or VBScript
•Familiarity with TSQL queries
•FTP Protocol 
•Familiarity with SaaS based applications
•Excellent software troubleshooting experience
•Airline related experience is preferred
