This position supports tasking at NAVAIR Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD. Candidate will perform duties that support PMA-231’s Assistant Program Manager (APM) for Test and Evaluation (T&E). The successful candidate will provide engineering, test and technical support, perform short-term and long-range T&E resource analyses and planning, develop program T&E policies and strategies, coordinate with external agencies, help guide leadership on technical and program issues, and provide program reporting to oversight agencies. Candidate will also develop Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and ensure approval by oversight agencies prior to commencement of test events, and will coordinate T&E Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs), Operational Test Readiness Reviews (OTRRs), and other T&E coordination and program certification reviews.

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics or a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and twelve (12) years of professional experience is required. At least six (6) years of experience with naval aviation and/or Test and Evaluation (T&E) is required. Specific expertise in T&E planning and resourcing as specified in DoD 500 series is required. Developmental flight test experience is highly desired. Experience in supporting PMA-led acquisition programs up to and including ACAT 1 programs is highly desired. Experience in the development of Naval Aviation weapons systems is desired. E-2 experience is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate is required to demonstrate the ability to track action items, develop metrics, develop and track risk mitigation plans, and develop and track plans of actions and milestones. Candidate must be able to organize, demonstrate effective oral and written communications, and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer–based productivity applications.

Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.
