JOB DESCRIPTION
Prepare direct and indirect tax returns, tax depreciation schedules, supporting schedules for tax returns; perform FAS 109 calculations; gather information for audits and respond to information document requests; support tax management with tax planning, tax research, analysis of tax-driven and non tax-driven transactions and other tax projects on an as assigned basis. 

40%: Preparation of tax returns, including supporting schedules, under supervision of tax management. 

20%: Gathering information in support of tax audits. 

15%: Research tax consequences of transactions, under supervision of tax management.

15%: Perform FAS 109 calculations and prepare supporting work papers (tax accounting). 

10%: Other projects on an as assigned basis and self-development. 
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree 
Course of Study/Major: Accounting or related field
Type of Credentials/Licenses: CPA preferred but not required.
Related Work Experience: 2-4 years
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in federal and multi-state income tax compliance required. Knowledge of tax return software (or equivalent) required; experience with indirect tax returns (property and excise tax) preferred; experience with consolidated federal income tax returns preferred; some international tax and FAS 109 experience helpful. Other skills needed: strong Accounting skills, strong communication skills, including written communication skills; excellent computer skills in the area of data manipulation, using EXCEL, Access and PowerPoint; effective problem solving skills; action and results oriented; ability to work independently and to meet deadlines; attention to detail.
