The qualified individual will manage the technical team on the Regional and Engines nacelle program to include Manufacturing, Industrial, and Quality Engineers. He/She will lead efforts to remedy producibility issues on composite Fan Cowls and Thrust Reverser components. He/She drive Process Improvement through use of PFMEA, KC’s, CPk’s, SPC and use DMAIC processes to identify root causes of issues. He/she will be responsible in creating Standard Work, Planning, and Illustrated Planning. He/she will present program technical status to UTAS and Airbus leadership and lead efforts to remedy and improve composite production tooling. He/she will also participate/lead in transfer of technical dossiers and tooling to alternate manufacturing sites.
Leads a project team or multiple smaller project teams or leads a functional team or unit in area of expertise. Will also be responsible to lead a multifunctional MRB (material review board) team in support of the production process. Prepares, monitors, and may be responsible for budget, staffing, and or business/operational results of a functional team or project. Directly manages individual contributors and may manage supervisors or group leaders.

Qualification: Technical supervisory experience in a Manufacturing and Engineering environmental preferred. Knowledgeable with composite materials, organics, tooling and lay up procedures and processes.

Incumbent will:
•Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
•Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
•Attend scheduled EH&S training program
•Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
•Recommend improved EH&S practices

Education: BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline w/6–10+ years experience
MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline w/4–7+ years experience
