Main Purpose of the Role Responsible for the quality/content of maintenance program task cards. Responsible for controlling the update of task cards in conjunction with each AMM update. Ensures task cards meet all maintenance programs requirements. Works with the Manager, Maintenance Programs and Reliability and Trax System Manager on improving task card format/ process and controls.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Possess knowledge of the maintenance sections of the Company's General Maintenance Manual, Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), Minimum Equipment List (MEL), operations specifications, and the applicable engineering, maintenance and inspection provisions of each section.
Coordinates the update of maintenance program task cards with each AMM revision.
Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, ATA standards, and Company policy.
Review and revise task cards to implement new MRB and MPD revisions.
Complete assignments as defined by the Manager of Maintenance Programs and Reliability and the Operational Review Board (ORB).
Review the task cards for effectiveness and accuracy against current maintenance program.
Create, and revise maintenance work tasks cards as defined by the maintenance program.
Interface with subject matter experts and FAA as required.
Travel (up to 10%) will be required to support maintenance visits to ensure task card effectiveness.
Professional Experience Required
The Maintenance Programs Technical Writer will have at least 3 years of experience in task card writing experience, and a basic understanding of AMM/Task Card relationship, which includes at least two (2) years of experience in task card related work.
