As our client’s Industrial Engineer (I) based in Tulsa, OK your mission is to apply your fundamental knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and standards in the area of planning for the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel. Your success will be predicated upon your ability to improve efficiency of operations relative to the production of components, parts, systems and subsystems of operational aircraft.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Attributes:
Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and zero (0) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven abilities with Time Studies, Layout Planning, Material / Process Flow and Root Cause Analysis
Solve problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures relative to auditing, development, application and maintenance of production time standards for manufacturing operations.
Management applies close to moderately close supervision and review of work performed.
Develop systems specifications, programming and installation of databases of pertinent information for use in developing and maintaining time standards.
Study functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication as directed.
Analyze space requirements, and workflow. Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Provide cost and cost saving data required to calculate return on investment for cost justification analysis.
Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Establish work measurement programs and analyzing work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
Contribute to the development of methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
This position may provide administrative and technical leadership over other Stakeholders in the department.
Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
