Strong understanding of RF electrical components and architectures including amplifiers, receivers, transmitters, mixers, filters, diplexers, directional couplers, power splitters, attenuators, oscillators, PLLs, & RF switches. Knowledge of RF instrumentation and measurements including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, VNAs, Power Meters, Noise Sources, Noise Figure, IMD, and phase noise.
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.
Performs process tests and tuning of RF circuits using Indium and Gold. Implements test set-ups, performs tests, collects results, maintains appropriate logs, and provides oral and/or written reports of results. Constructs, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment. Ensure correct functionality of units under test, test equipment and identifies any discrepancies.
3 years Test experience in Aerospace, Military, and /or Communications Satellite hardware production.
