The Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) is the U.S. Air Force’s intended replacement for the Boeing LGM-30G Minuteman III ICBM weapon system, the land-based, silo-launched backbone of the nuclear deterrence triad. GBSD deployment is expected to begin in 2027, and GBSD will remain in service through 2075. Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a technical lead engineer (TLE) to lead and support multi-disciplinary teams in the development of standard test methods and processes and applies advanced test technologies to create or improve test methods. Writes invention disclosures to protect Boeing Intellectual Property. Prepares R&D proposals and presents to internal management and external customer. Applies emerging industry technologies to develop test procedures. Reviews critical procedures to identify potential problems and resolve issues. Oversees the integration of new design and manufacturing techniques into test hardware/system designs. Analyzes processes for potential improvements and recommends associated changes. Develops the standard policies for post-test activity. Resolves or oversees resolution of special test procedures. Works with the enterprise test and engineering group to standardize evaluation techniques. Formulates expectations for test data for new or unique tests. Trains and coaches others. Works under consultative direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
