Direct support to the F/A-18 Lead Test Engineer and associated test and engineering teams. Assist in maintaining the F/A 18 Integrated Test and Master Schedules. Populate and maintain Test Information Tracking and Reporting System including test point entry, validation and verification of test points, metrics associated with test point completion. Manage all aspects of Deficiency Review Boards and Watch Item/Deficiency Reports. Prepare Watch Item Review Board (WIRB) agendas and meeting minutes. Applies knowledge of Naval Test Wing Atlantic Flight and Ground Test requirements and resources to interface with technical and test teams to identify, prioritize and validate documentation and resource needs. Utilizes proficiency with NAVAIR and Test Wing Atlantic management functions, processes and analytical methods or techniques to optimize employment of available personnel, aircraft and facilities, to identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency, and to contribute to management effectiveness. Develops and drafts program or project milestone, progress monitoring, financial, acquisition, quality control, maintenance, or training documentation. Directly contributes to data collection, metrics development, program or project operations efficiency reviews, resource/cost studies, or workload change impact analysis. Relies upon and uses automated management information systems in performing fact-finding, analytical, and advisory functions. Directly utilizes a wide variety of government resource management (personnel, financial and contractual) systems.

Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Science, Technology Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or Management discipline and at least one (1) year of related experience is required. Allowable substitution: A High school diploma or GED and at least five (5) years of relevant experience. Related experience must be in the area of development, test and evaluation of aircraft and/or associated systems, sub-systems and components.

Prefer direct experience in one or a combination of the following areas: aircraft flight controls; aircraft development, test and evaluation to include certification and qualification, structures, aircraft weapon separation and compatibility, Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems, aircraft propulsion; power systems; system/subsystem development, test & evaluation, or design. Previous experience coordinating with OEM and Fleet activities is desired. Previous experience working on engineering/manufacturing programs is a plus. Project Management experience is desired. Operations Management experience is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer skills required include Scheduling, resource management, and document preparation/editing (word processing, spreadsheets, MS Project and PowerPoint) use of on-line tools. Ability to make oral and written presentations and the ability to supervise and evaluate personnel is desirable.
