Position Description

We are looking to hire a self-directed, high energy individual for our Operations team for the position of 3 Phase Group Leader. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

The 3 Phase Group Leader is responsible for scheduling all 3 Phase production, ensuring that all units are completed on time. The 3 Phase Group Leader will work closely with the shipping department and the Inventory Control team to ensure that there is adequate raw material stock and that orders will be shipped on time and in full. The 3 Phase Group Leader is also expected to work in cross functional CI teams and may be asked to participate in various committees. Must be able to work and schedule overtime as needed.

• Analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate extensive detail data
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others toward mutual objectives
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office

Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule all 3 Phase production using Oracle
• Manage scheduling and time off requests for employees in the group
• Provide feedback for scheduling conflicts and stock outs of raw materials to the Inventory Control group
• Work with Customer Service to effectively communicate build completion dates
• Coordinate staffing and builds with other team leaders
• Drive Continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and stock level management
• Continue to develop employees in the group and coach them as needed
• Interpret and follow work instructions
• Conduct employee reviews
• Assist in the development of assembly procedures, and testing specifications.
• Conduct final quality inspections
• Participate in all in-house training
• Be available to help build test and pack units as needed
• Work with Engineering on first run and/or prototype builds

Position Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• General knowledge of manufacturing process and safety issues
• General knowledge of computers
• Able to read Bill of Materials
• Basic soldering skills desired
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experienced with basic hand tools
• Work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to meet established output and quality levels
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to work overtime when warranted
Education/Experience

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or comparable work experience
• Experience leading others in a fast-paced dynamic environment desired
• Technical experience in troubleshooting electric and mechanical systems

Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
