This person should be passionate about designing, building, testing, and supporting tools that enable efficiency and speed of resolution throughout the customer support life-cycle. The ideal candidate would bring deep expertise with a wide selection of software engineering tools. This position will play a central role in the solution lifecycle including: responding to feature and configuration requests, designing solutions and envisioning follow up work. The role will include software design, development, customization and integration. The Tool engineer understands company and departmental requirements to design and develop solutions where SharePoint is the designated solution.


This person will bring experience with customer support / technical support process blended with strong software engineering skills and experience. An understanding of the aviation industry and how these customers operate would be a plus. Other technical experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud based hosting solutions is strongly desired. You will be supporting a globally distributed user community.


Essential Functions:

  • Participate as a member of the Process and Tools Integration Team building solutions that automate otherwise manual tasks. A key aspect of this role is enabling program/project collaboration and work statement management.
  • Provide integration for various software projects. Understand and drive source control management, distributed build and deployment automation.
  • Strong ability to build solutions based on business requirements.
  • Will lead and participate on multiple core projects and will be required to support multiple efforts within other dependent projects.
  • Support day to day operational needs of the organization and work closely with support staff, Coordinators, Managers, and Sr. leadership in the ongoing efforts to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Reviews requirements and design materials, and provides feedback. Evaluates process maturity and design information, and works with other disciplines to resolve issues.



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field of study and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Hands-on SharePoint Development experience creating SharePoint features and solutions including web parts, master pages, custom page layouts, content types, workflows, and site templates
  • Experience with design, development and deployment of enterprise level portals and collaboration solutions on SharePoint 2013/2016 platforms using CSOM, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, C#, power shell scripting, CAML, LINQ, XML/XSLT, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with UI design to create SharePoint artifacts like Master Pages, Display Template etc.
  • HTML 5/CSS 3 experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Designer and InfoPath
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Site and Central Administration (configuring and managing SharePoint Services, site collection administration, site creation, feature configuration, etc.)
  • Cloud based infrastructure (Experience with Azure is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, Internet Information Server and Active Directory
  • Strong communication, effective consulting, time management and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines
  • Microsoft Certifications are preferred
  • Working knowledge of industry standard Development frameworks
  • Understanding about database schema, SQL queries
  • Object orientated design and development
