General responsibilities of the position: In a manufacturing environment at the cutting edge of technology, the successful candidate will be required, according to the supervisor or team leader's instructions, to work from drawings, work methods, sketches or verbal instructions to set, operate and adjust conventional machine tools or numerical control machines such as lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, electrical discharge machines, laser machines, etc., to machine new engine parts and repair used parts.
The operator is responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections of the parts using precision measuring instruments such as jigs and CMMs, and keeping the relevant logbooks up to date. The operator is also responsible for performing simple deburring and installing details such as sockets and nuts to maintain the flow of materials.

Specific responsibilities of position: - The operator may be required to participate in developing new parts or procedures for the selection of methods and tools
- Wash, store, package and move parts, while ensuring that standards and specifications are met
- Work as part of a team, but work with a high level of autonomy. Participate in training and share knowledge with team mates
- Organize and keep the workstation in order and respect our high standards regarding occupational health and safety

Qualifications required: Desired skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Interest in mechanics
• Manual skills
• Analytical mind
• Fluent in French (written and verbal) - knowledge of English considered an asset.

Training
• Vocational diploma (DEP) in machining techniques
• Mechanical engineering skills
• Aerospace engineering skills

Experience
• The candidate will ideally have one to two years' experience

Field of studies: Aeronautics
