Job Description

The Boeing Company has an opening for a Junior Tool Engineer to support the Large Aircraft Spares Engineering team.  You will generate and review tool designs for the fabrication of aircraft spare parts.  This engineer supports the technical requirements for fabrication and procurement of spares for military aircraft such as B-1, B-52, KC-135, and E-3. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating in a cross-functional work environment including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management.
  • Reviewing supplier method of inspection tool designs.
  • Designing tools and equipment for fabrication of post production spares.
  • Coordinating resolution of tooling issues with other engineering organizations and suppliers.
  • Identifying areas where process/tool improvements are needed.
  • Working under supervision to support timely delivery of spare parts and proposals.

Qualifications 

Basic Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/structural engineering principles required
  • Experience using modeling tools.
  • Experience generating and reviewing tool designs.
  • Experience participating on multi-skilled teams across functional boundaries desired
  • Experience in 3-D modeling

Typical Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
