Job Title: UAS Operator Instructor 3 - Deployable (4) - WA
Rate: $40 to $44.00 DOE
Duration: 6 Months
Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 UAS Operators.
This position, reporting to the Deployed Operations Team, will provide training for internal UAS Operators employed by Client. Training will be conducted from multiple Client locations including Vancouver, WA, Bingen, WA, and other locations in the Columbia Gorge.
•Reviews flight training syllabuses, class rosters, students training records and courseware requirements.
•Determines daily instructional needs/objectives and adjusts content and delivery as necessary.
•Identifies and schedules training resources to include facilities, hardware/equipment, and flight time availability.
•Verifies that all resources and daily training content is compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements.
•Conducts classroom, practical, flight and simulation instruction in both formal and field environments.
•Obtains real-time student feedback and adjust delivery to meet training objectives.
•Assigns student work, administers informal student assessments, performs remedial instruction and completes daily student records and other required documentation.
•May perform train the trainer activities.
•Administers written, oral, practical, flight and simulation student assessments.
•Measures student performance against established learning objectives and standards. Obtains student feedback and documents outcomes and reviews and/or submits student records.
•Experience delivering UAS pilot operator instruction, with ScanEagle or Integrator instruction experience highly preferred
•Experience developing lesson plans and student schedules
•Experience with UAV or manned aircraft flight operations in land and/or maritime environments
•Experience with UAS site setup, logistics, maintenance reporting, and customer interface
•Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications and learn new software
•Ability to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity using corporate policies, procedures, and practices for guidance
•Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to work under little supervision
•Communication and presentation skills that support frequent interactions with internal and external customers
•Ability to thrive in, and contribute to, an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration
•Possess a positive attitude and an ability to prioritize amongst competing demands and achieve success with aggressive timelines and limited resources
Preferred (but not required):
•Military/Civilian aviation experience or FAA private/commercial pilot
•Experience operating the ScanEagle or Integrator UAS
•Prior leadership/management experience
•Additional foreign language fluency (e.g. Spanish, Arabic, Polish)
•Experience delivering platform training
•A high-degree of computer literacy: prior experience with software/hardware installation, knowledge of computer networking to include TCP/IP, Ethernet, and fiber optics
•Teaching certificate or military equivalent
•FAA licenses or certificates such as airframe and power plant, or inspector authorization
Accredited bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
