Job Description

The Fort Walton Beach, FL site is seeking a Wire Design and Install Engineer to support multiple design and development programs.


Develops and maintains basic cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Assists with engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Develops and maintains basic electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Collects data to support the development of statements of work. Assists in data gathering of supplier capabilities. Reviews functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture. Works under close supervision.


Position responsibilities will be to develop and maintain aircraft wiring drawings, resolve issues to sustain aircraft in the field and disposition damaged or discrepant electrical components. Additional responsibilities will be to evaluate components to resolve obsolescence issues and participate in aircraft modification designs. Travel may be required to perform aircraft surveys or support mods on site.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.



Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.



  • Working experience with connector encyclopedia terminology and basic wiring catalog nomenclature to develop electrical product detail
  • Previous experience working with detail cable assembly and installation drawings
  • Previous experience and a demonstrated ability to understand electrical schematics and electrical process documents



  • USAF C-130/CV-22 general experience, wiring, or technical orders a plus
  • Prior military aircraft experience
  • Previous experience with Catia V5 (2D and 3D), AutoCad, and Unigraphics all a plus
